(Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic)
Order 2026-21002
NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council intends to make an Order
pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic
(Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which is to stop any vehicle from
proceeding along Church Road, Carlton as lies between Cyrynti and Brinkley Road.
Access will be maintained to properties affected by this order.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Brinkley Road; Carlton Road; High Street;
B1052; West Wratting Road; West Wickham Road, Balsham; Balsham Road, West
Wickham; High Street Southern Spur; High Street; Burton End; Burton End, West
Wratting; Common Road; Common Road, Weston Colville; Carlton Green Road,
Carlton and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecoms maintenance and associated
works which are being carried out on or near this highway.
It is anticipated that these works will take place between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs on 1
September 2026, when the restriction is expected to be in operation.
The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date
